Where to Find Free WiFi Around Toronto

View as Map

Everyone's found themselves between appointments with some time to kill and the absolutely urgent need to check Facebook. If you're on a limited data plan, though, all those status updates and Instagram uploads can suck up your data allowance faster than a Dyson. Why not surf on someone else's (freely-given) nickel? All Toronto Public Library locations have free WiFi; so do Yonge-Dundas Square, St. Lawrence Market, Dufferin Grove Park, and Harbourfront Centre. The TTC launched free WiFi at two subway stations last year, too (St. George and Bloor-Yonge). There's also Wireless Toronto, a not-for-profit group that's bringing free WiFi to public spaces around the city; here's the link to a list of their community hotspots.

Here's a map showing just a few of the many handy free-wifi spots around town. Know any other good ones? Why not share in the comments?
