TIFF-Imposed King Street Closure Gives Motorist Road Rage

"It's only four days..." Those were the words of TIFF CEO Piers Handling last July, answering questions on the TIFF-imposed closure of King Street, all the way from University to Peter. The closure, put in place to facilitate a more, well, festive atmosphere around TIFF has transformed King Street into a massive pedestrian-friendly area where film buffs can chat and mingle. Not everybody is enamoured with the changes, though. Commuters have voiced their anger with the closure, many noting that there are already numerous routes into the core affected by closures or traffic restrictions. TIFF officially closes on September 13th. - Patrick James Bissett
