Hostile Squirrels

New, 2 comments

Pigeons have been flocking to the balconies of 200 Wellesley for years, so when the apartment complex finally shelled out thousands to fix the problem, residents had no idea they'd actually be enabling squirrel populations to take over. The mesh netting, installed across the entire balcony opening, has become a veritable squirrel ladder of sorts - and residents aren't just squeamish, they're terrified. Heather, a tenant on one of the upper floors explains, "If I want my shopping cart, she'll come after me - she makes a noise in her throat." [Toronto Star]
