Housing Stats

Mid-month figures from the Toronto Real Estate Board (TREB) revealed housing sales rose 7.6 percent compared to mid-August, 2013. TREB President Paul Etherington attributes the increase to a new demographic of buyers: "Including first-time buyers purchasing newly listed condominium apartments and existing homeowners changing their housing situation." If you lucked out with a detached home, treasure it - they've consistently jumped 12.3 percent in price year after year. [Toronto Real Estate Board]
