This sprawling six-bedroom, seven-bath Hoggs Hollow home is listed for $6,880,000. It's described as "quintessential Frank Lloyd Wright designed", but since Lloyd Wright didn't actually do any Toronto homes (although the McNamara house on Heath Street may have been designed by someone who worked with FLW), it should more accurately be called vaguely Prairie Style. There are some Prairie elements to it, especially the low horizontal lines and shallow pitched roof, but the interiors are a blend of contemporary and Asian (there's even a separate wok kitchen with a custom high-heat gas range). There are lots of fun spaces for kids to hang out, like the media room in the basement with its own performance stage and table games, and the arts and crafts room (with a handy sink). Outdoors there's a pool (a little on the small side) and a deck, but the rest of the property looks uninspired and could definitely use some landscaping.
