As construction wraps up on the new $456M Union Pearson Express, two of the actual trains are rolling into Toronto to begin testing. The trains have already had mechanical, electrical speed testing in Chicago, and once they're in the GTA they can begin to test out the 25-kilometre trip between Pearson International Airport and Union Station. According to Metrolinx, the ride should take just 25 minutes↑way less than you might spend sitting in bumper-to-bumper traffic on the Gardiner. [CBC]
