From way out West comes the news that Alberta-based craft brewers Big Rock are expanding their operations to Ontario, planning to open a 7,500 sq. ft. brewpub at 60 Atlantic Avenue, a late-19th-century three-storey industrial building in Liberty Village. Fittingly-enough, the building was originally home to the St. David's Wine Grower's Company; more recently, it was home to Artscape Liberty Village. One big draw of the property was the huge patio potential; 3,000 sq. ft. of streetside beer-quaffing space. If all goes as planned, Big Rock could be ready to start pouring pints by summertime 2015.
