How Much For This Updated Midcentury Manor?

PriceSpotter is Curbed's asking price guessing game. We provide you with some details and pictures from a real estate listing, and you take a crack at the price in the comments. We'll reveal the answer next week. And hey, no cheating!

This 7,000 sq. ft. upscale 1950's rancher sits on 1.25 acres in the city's north end. There are five bedrooms and six bathrooms spread between the main floor and basement, and 14 parking spots so you can have the whole office over to admire your floating staircase (and your huge photo of Twiggy in the master bedroom). The kitchen's dark walnut cabinetry and creamy marble countertops are a nice change from the usual white-cabinets/grey-marble nearly every renovated home has lately. There's a Wolf range and a Miele oven, a servery, and two islands, each with its own sink (why two islands? Why so many sinks?). The house was renovated last year by designer Karen Kayne; but much of the original character is still there—the wide open-concept main floor and the floating staircase, the stone-and-wood facade, and the expansive windows all around. Some of the updates do seem a little bland, but it's still a unique home for any well-heeled Mad Family.
