lawn range plans

When the Glebe Mount Lawn Bowling Club closed last year due to declining membership, it opened up a big opportunity for a developer to snap up the Davisville Village property. It's rumoured that Michael Volpentesta paid around $5,000,000 for the land, which he plans to subdivide into five individual building lots. Councillor Josh Matlow has launched a campaign for the city to buy the property back from Volpentesta, in order to convert it to a public park; the developer says he's open to offers.
