There's a lot buzz about the Fairmont Royal York's sale, but guardians of the hotel's rooftop garden are generating some real buzz; they're installing a "bee hotel", an urban roadside rest area for solitary pollinator bees, who don't live in conventional hives. The itinerant bees need a place in the city to stop and chill, maybe knock back a frosty nectar cocktail. The wooden habitats are designed by Sustainable.to, and the project is a collaboration with Burt's Bees Canada. [Newswire]
