Here's a look back at some historical photos of the Broadview Hotel and Jilly's, the sketchy strip bar at Broadview Avenue and Queen Street East, which was recently sold to Streetcar Developments. The adult entertainment complex located in the hotel, is one of Toronto's oldest buildings, a heritage property built in 1893. Long before it was…uh… the nudey bar, the building was a meeting place for Shriners before later turning into the Broadview and Lincoln Hotel in the 1930s. The developer says it plans to restore and revive the aged building and doesn't envision building a condo at the site. Rumours are circulating
it may become another Drake Hotel.
