Welcome back to Curbed Comparisons, a column that explores what one can rent for a set dollar amount in various Toronto neighbourhoods. Is one man's studio another man's townhouse? Let's find out! Today's asking price: $3,000/Month
↑ North York: This three-bedroom and bathroom townhouse at Bayview and Sheppard rents for $3,500/month. The house is approx. 2,000 square feet and tenant pays extra for most utilities. It's close to the Sheppard subway line and Bayview Village Shopping for pricey groceries at Pusateri's or less expensive at Loblaws.
↑ Davisville: In midtown Toronto, this "designer dream house" rents for $3,499/month. It's a two-bedroom, fully furnished dwelling at 1,300 square feet. There's also a bathtub on the main floor in case your dinner guests need to wash up before eating.
↑ Yonge St. & Gerrard: This three-bedroom, two bathroom condo is located in the new Aura Condos at College Park. Given its the tallest residential building in Canada, you'll have unobstructed views of the city and access to all the brand new amenities. Another perk: Pop star Madonna sometimes stops by (well, only once) to promote her fitness club located inside the building. It's renting for $3,600/month.
↑ Annex: Near Spadina and Dupont, this newly constructed loft/townhouse has two-bedrooms and a space of 1,500 square feet. The ad specifies the renters must make a combined salary of $80,000 plus and must provide proof. No starving artists wanted for this place. The furnished townhouse is renting for 3,600/month.
↑ Roncesvalles: In the west-end, a one-bedroom apartment in the house rents for $3,300/month. The 1,000 square foot main floor apartment includes a deck, free wifi and claiming to be furnished in "Old Toronto" style. Short or long-term leases are available.
↑ Entertainment District: Head to King West and you'll get this one-bedroom plus den for $3,100/month. There's limited photos only because it's a small 700 square feet and comes fully furnished in the new SIX50 Condos, completed just last year. · Curbed Comparisons Archives [Curbed Toronto]
