Real Estate Game

A fixer-upper in the Lawrence Park neighbourhood recently started a massive bidding war with 72 offers on the five-bedroom property. It's not surprising the Glencairn Avenue home received so much attention; the agent and seller purposely had a low-ball listing price of $699,000. Anyone who bid the asking price was quickly out of the game; the house sold for $1.366 million, 195 per cent of list price. [Toronto Star]
