What $2,000/Month Can Rent You Around Toronto

Welcome back to Curbed Comparisons, a column that explores what one can rent for a set dollar amount in various Toronto neighbourhoods. Is one man's studio another man's townhouse? Let's find out! Today's asking price: $2,000/Month

↑ Maple Leaf Square: Thankfully this one-bedroom condo comes fully furnished because that bedroom set is bound to make you feel like a king or queen. It's renting for $2,000/month and includes amenities like an indoor and outdoor pool and the kitchen comes fully stocked with dishes. Those drapes are fabulous too.

↑ Yonge & Sheppard: For $2,055/month, you get a two-bedroom, one and a half bathrooms and plenty of nice amenities at 105 Harrison Garden Blvd. There's a fitness centre with complimentary aerobics classes and free wifi in the party room. The North York neighbourhood is about to get a new Whole Foods Grocery right at the corner (opening later this year), and the subway line is close by.

↑ Bathurst and Eglinton: Live above a pizza place for $2,250/month. It's actually quite large with three-bedrooms and 1,300 square feet of living space. Living above a restaurant can raise some renter red flags especially if the business is prone to rodents and on-going pest problems. Unfortunately, this Mama's Pizza failed their health inspection a couple of times.

↑ Forest Hill: For $2,500/month, this two-bedroom executive loft seems like a clean, fun space. The unit is spacious with 1,025 square feet and includes two underground parking spots which is useful in the area where street parking is limited. There's a rooftop patio and for coffee drinkers, it includes a complimentary Keurig.

↑ St. Clair & Christie: Near St. Clair West, you can rent this three-bedroom house for $2,420/month. It has $1,350 square feet of space, parking and a huge backyard. The innovative owner has also made his own vertigo-inducing home video to showcase the property. · Curbed Comparisons Archives [Curbed Toronto]
