Tunnel Delay

As if Porter Airlines hasn't been in the news enough with its airport expansion debate, now the opening for the anticipated pedestrian tunnel has been delayed. The $82.5 million project that will allow travellers to get to the Billy Bishop City Airport through an underground tunnel instead of just the ferry is scheduled to open in 2015, instead of later this year. Apparently that prolonged freezing winter/ice storm was to blame for the delay. Here's what the tunnel will look like. [Toronto Star]
