Inside The Thompson Hotel's $4,500 Penthouse Suite

Making Curbed's list of The 18 Essential Toronto Hotels, the Thompson at Bathurst and Wellington Street is one of Toronto's chicest hotels. The condo/hotel with its adjoining new Residences, features about 100 rooms and amenities like a screening room, yoga studio and one of the coolest rooftop pools in the city. Inside, the Scarpetta Restaurant abruptly closed recently, being replaced by a new duel-restaurant concept from The Chase and The Chase Fish & Oyster team, and the Thompson Diner serves up its comfort food of footlong hot dogs and mac and cheese.

The hotel's penthouse, a 2,100 square foot suite goes for $4,500/per night (Hey, it's a little more affordable than the Trump Hotel's $20,000/night penthouse). Located on the 10th floor, the penthouse includes two bathrooms (the master has an infinity tub, double vanity and heated marble floors). The bedroom has a walk-in closet, in-ceiling speakers and the main area includes a living room, full kitchen, a dining room that seats eight and a library. If that doesn't suite your fancy, there's also a pool table next to (one of) the flatscreen TVs. It's a nice view.
