Emerald City's Oz-Inspiring Dream Tower

The Dream Tower, the third phase of ELAD Canada's Emerald City condo development in North York, is due for completion later this year. At 25 storeys, the Dream Tower is a little shorter than the other two towers in the complex, but its massive podium should help compensate for any potential inferiority complex. Prices start at $266,900 for the junior one-bedroom "Vision" unit, and range up to $649,900 for the two-bedroom-plus-terrace "Felicity" suite. One perk Emerald City offers is its direct connection to the Sheppard subway line; the complex sits above Don Mills station, the last stop on the line, so you would have a pretty good chance of scoring a seat on your morning commute (evenings would be a different story). It's also connected to Fairview Mall, making post-work grocery shopping a breeze. In theory, you could go for weeks without ever setting foot on pavement.

Dream Tower's amenities include a fitness centre, swimming pool, theatre, party room and terrace with barbeque area, plus there's all that candy-coloured Douglas Coupland art scattered around the complex to look at. If those still leave you looking for stuff to do, Emerald City's connected to the new Parkway Forest Community Centre, which will have lots of facilities like a commercial teaching kitchen, a day-care centre and a running track (but will it be made of yellow brick?)
