Justin Bieber Stays at Fairmont Royal York For $1,999/Night

New, 6 comments

Welcome back to Sweet Suites, the series where Curbed explores the most expensive and luxurious hotel rooms in Toronto. This week we look at the Fairmont Royal York's Royal Suite.

The most expensive hotel room at the Fairmont Royal York on Front Street is the Royal Suite which costs $1,999 per night. The Royal York is the grand old lady of Toronto's hotel scene and making Curbed's list of the top 18 Essential Hotels in the City. While many celebrities flock to hot spots like the Shangri-La and the Four Seasons, the Royal Suite is known as a confidential hideout for private guests and celebs. A rep from the hotel tells Curbed the suite has an extensive guest book which includes the British Royal Family, Frank Sinatra, Bob Hope and even Justin Bieber (prior to his legal troubles). Most recently, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip stayed in the room during their summer 2010 tour of Canada. The suite is so top secret that the hotel would even not provide photos so we'll have to imagine. Have photos of the elite room? Send it our way to the tipline.

What do you get for $1,999/night?
The luxurious 5,000 foot Royal Suite's first impression is the grand entrance foyer. It invites guests into an elegant living room with original detailing dating back to the 1929 opening. It also features two separate bedrooms, both with ensuite bathrooms, and a formal dining room. Also included in the room is 24-hour wait-service, oak fireplace, and two wet bars.
