City of Toronto and Waterfront Toronto released a report detailing four options for improving the city's Gardiner Expressway. Replacing the highway would be the most expensive option; costing $1.39 billion over 100 years. In the past, other suggestions have included putting a roof on it and transforming the Gardiner into a pedestrian and cycling trail, similar to the High Line Park in New York City. [UrbanToronto]
