Cornerspotted: It's The Busy Intersection of Bathurst & St. Clair

This week's Cornerspotters identified the intersection correctly as Bathurst and St. Clair Avenue West. Some believed the area was near High Park because of the heavy forestation while others guessed the Danforth. Although the photo from 1911 proved to be challenging, Toronto experts/Tweeters came through by their extensive knowledge of the city. The area is about to be redeveloped with a new high-rise coming soon to the east side of Bathurst and the sale of the vacant building on the west side. The former gas station across the street has been border up with rumours of a new development in the works for the large stretch of land. The RISE Condos at the south-east corner of Bathurst and St. Clair, is a 25-storey building with 300 suites starting from $200,000. The building with its rooftop pool is still under pre-construction with an estimated completion date of 2015.
