Earlier this summer, when Porter Airlines announced that it wanted to expand their island airport and their service, they garnered support from over 25,000 locals, to move ahead with their expansion plans. At the same time concerned Waterfront residents with the support of local councillor Adam Vaughan created No Jets TO, a group opposed to Porters expansion plans for the Airport.
The group called No Jets TO, is concerned that the Billy Bishop expansion plans will destroy the waterfront, put our health at risk, create a safety hazard, damage the lake and environment and waste billions of public and private investments. We'll hear more from both groups next Thursday at the public consultations at the Direct Energy Centre.
