It's another super cool design project for Toronto's architectural firm Superkül. This time it's a renovation and expansion to the 20,000 square foot Newmarket Community Centre. The facility built in the 1970s, was in poor condition and needed retrofitting to meet building code. The extensive renovation included a new interior design, exterior re-cladding and a construction of a new park. The centre's new entrance way is now a mosaic of colour with boldly painted stripped panels and red western cedar siding. The project is currently completed. The architectural firm has completed other interesting projects like the renovation to St. Joseph's Media and a laneway building conversion to a home in downtown Toronto.
