Yonge and Eglinton seems to have more highrise construction going on than anywhere else on this continent. The area is becoming a vital part of the city with the new Metrolinx crosstown line and refurbished RioCan Centre (new Aroma Expresso Bars are popping up all over the city). If you want to get in on the action, here's a list of pre-construction and under construction condos that you should take a look at.
↑155 Redpath Condominiums,
Freed Developments is moving uptown with their first development outside of the King West corridor. This building by architectsAlliance (Freed Developments go-to firm) with 36-storeys features a ninth floor outdoor infinity pool and terrace. While, it might not be practical for the Toronto weather, the development also features an outdoor yoga studio.
↑E Condos,
The E Condos at Yonge and Eglinton by Bazis, the developer which you may remember from a few years back for their proposal for One Bloor Street East, has returned to Toronto for a new project. The developers website says: "Each suite will feature nine foot smooth ceilings and contemporary engineered flooring, unparalleled attention to detail is evident everywhere within the interiors of the e condo suites. Layouts include floor to ceiling windows and balconies to truly appreciate the grandeur of the location." Don't forget to check out that glass enclosed pool.
↑ Life Condos,
Located on Merton Street, the Life Condos are a bit of a trek to the action at Yonge and Eglinton, but this development looks like a good one if you're looking for a building that's a little bit more intimate than some of the larger projects at Yonge and Eglinton with only 13 storeys and 149 suites you can get to know all your neighbours. Check out the website for a virtual tour.
