City council is voting this week to seize Captain John's Restaurant which has been docked at the waterfront for the past year locked in a legal battle. John Letnik, owner of the iconic floating restaurant, refuses to move his boat and owes more than $660,000 in back taxes and fees to the city. Letnik says he'd rather chain himself to the ship than have city officials seize it. An online petition has been created to save the ship. [National Post]
