'Tis the season for bargains and price chopping in the Forest Hill neighbourhood near Casa Loma. Curbed's Monday Mansion, a 12,000 square foot house at 49 Forest Hill Rd, has been on the real estate block for quite awhile. Originally listed for $10 million, the owners lowered the price to $8.995 million before chopping it again slightly to $8.9M. How low will they go? Perhaps buyers are scared off by its excessive nine bathrooms or that actress Tori Spelling will pop in for a surprise visit. (The interior was designed by architect Dee Dee Taylor Hannah, the younger sister of Mary Jo Eustace. Eustace's ex-husband is now married to Spelling. That's the connection).

The property is quite exquisite with six bedrooms, six fireplaces (one in the kitchen and the bathroom), a tanning room with tan bed, extensive walk-in closest, fitness studio, downstairs bar and wine cellar. The swimming pool in the backyard resembles an all-inclusive resort with its water fall feature, multiple sitting areas and yet another fireplace. If you fall in love with the property, chances are you might be able to negotiate a holiday discount. Property taxes are around $36,000.
