Crazy Staircase Mansion in King City Sells For $2.3M

If you thought moving northbound to King City would be cheaper, this recently sold mansion for $2.350 million would prove you wrong. The 5,000 square foot house featuring King City's most elaborate staircase was listed for $2.495 million, selling after 52 days on the market. The newly custom property is quite ornate with its black walnut and pebble flooring and over-the-top wrought iron railing with second floor catwalk. The house with only four bedrooms and bathrooms has plenty of room for other extras including a mini home theatre and games room, elevator, soon-to-be resurfaced tennis court and swimming pool oasis. The selling agent claims the house is "only 30 minutes to downtown." Uh. Is he speaking of downtown King City? Unless you're driving downtown on a Sunday, chances are it will take you a bit longer. Annual property taxes are $16,400. Do you think this house is worth the selling price?
