After months of protest, concerned Etobicoke residents have given their thumb-ups over new revised plans to redevelop the Humbertown shopping centre in the city's west end. The initial proposal from developer First Capital was a redevelopment of the site including five new condos, retail buildings and townhouses; residents concerned with the height and massing of the buildings, increased traffic and overall threat to the stability of the neighbourhood. Details of the plans will be released next week. [Globe]
