At first glance, the renderings for the new Opus Condos appear similar to other high-rise towers in the city but a closer look reveals a ridiculous amenity alert. Still under pre-construction, the two 40-storey towers located near Sheppard Avenue and Leslie Street, showcase its mega amenities including lawn bowling, bowling lanes, golf putting green, pet spa and a ballroom dancing studio. The building is reminiscent of an all-inclusive hotel resort, minus the shuffleboard. Units in the building range in size from 475 to 1,068 square feet, starting in the mid $200,000s. The architects on the project are Page + Steele/IBI Group, who also designed Ritz-Carlton and The Hazelton Hotel, and if they can complete those bowling lanes on time, the expected condo completion date is August 2016.
